"A Piece of Blarney Stone" 10 ways to empower your communication"

 The Blarney Stone is a historical stone, or actually part of the Blarney Castle in Ireland where it was believed that kissing the stone can grant you the gift of gab. Yeah, it seems strange in this day and age, but who are we to question tradition? It's not like I'm saying that Santa Claus doesn't exist (OOPS!). There is so much to know about conversation that anyone, even I, could ever realize. You can go though watching talk shows; radio programs; clubs dedicated to public speaking; ordinary conversations; certain rules still apply when it comes to interaction through words. It may sound tedious, I know, but even though it's your mouth that's doing the work, your brain works twice as hard to churn out a lot of things you know. So what better way to start learning to be an effective communication is to know the very person closest to you: yourself. 1. What you know. Education is all about learning the basics, but to be an effective speaker is to practice what you...

"What Really Makes You Tick?" 10 questions you should ask to yourself: a preparation to self-improvement

Be all you can be, but it's not always in the Army. I often see myself as somewhat contented with my life the way things are, but of course, it's hard to think of anything else when there are real issues to be discussed. Still, I aspire for something deeper and more meaningful. So we're all pelted with problems. Honestly, it shouldn't even bother or even hinder us from becoming all we ought to be. Aspirations as kids should continue to live within us, even though it would be short-lived or as long as we could hold on to the dream. They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks… or can they? 1. What do I really want? The question of the ages. So many things you want to do with your life and so little time to even go about during the day. Find something that you are good at can help realize that small step towards improvement. Diligence is the key to know that it is worth it. 2. Should I really change? Today's generation has taken another level of redefining '...

Improving The Efficiency Of Fertilizer Could Save $1.1 Billion Annually In Fertilizer Cost

Farmers around the world will tell you that fertilizers are an essential input for crops. Fertilizer is responsible for half of the world’s current food production and is considered an indispensable part of crop production. But the fact remains that the use of fertilizer has increased drastically in the last few decades. Globally, the amount of nitrogen use increased by more than 80% over the period 1980 to 2018 (FAO, 2021).  Yet, it has been widely reported that fertilizer nutrient use efficiency (NUE) by crops is low, ranging between 25% and 50% depending on the crop, environmental conditions, and management practices (Hofmann et al., 2020; Herrera et al., 2016). The NUE is the product of two main components: nutrient uptake efficiency and utilization efficiency. Nutrient uptake efficiency is the ability of plants to take up nutrients from the soil, while nutrient utilization efficiency describes the capability of plants to assimilate and remobilize nutrients within the plant. E...

Windows 98 - An Introduction

Windows 98 – codenamed Memphis – was released by Microsoft Corporation on June 25, 1998.  Windows 98 was the successor to Windows 95 and presented a hybrid 16-bit/32-bit monolithic product which was based on MS-DOS.  It was quickly followed by an update to the operating system with Windows 98 SE (second edition) as Microsoft attempted to fix many bugs that were present in the original version. Among the newer features of Windows 98 were better AGP (accelerated graphics port) support, functional USB (universal serial bus) drivers, and support for multiple monitors and Web TV.  It also featured support for the FAT32 file system allowing it to support disk partitions larger than the two gigabyte maximum accepted by Windows 95.  It was also the first version of Windows to support ACPI (advanced configuration and power interface.   Windows 98 was also the first operating system to use Windows Driver Model which standardized device driver programs and allowed for...

क्या है एक देश एक खाद योजना ? || What is One Nation One Fertilizer Scheme?

The 3M Cropping System : Food Security and Sustainable Crop Diversification

Food Security and Sustainable Crop Diversification Food security in India was made possible by the Green Revolution of the 1960s, which promoted the rice-wheat cropping system. This revolution played a significant role in transforming India from a ship-to-mouth status to self-sufficiency and even surplus food production. The Green Revolution was facilitated by advanced agricultural technology inputs such as irrigation, quality seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides, along with assured public procurement on Minimum Support Price (MSP) with the support of both government and private sectors. As a result, food production increased almost four times, from 82.02 million tons in 1960-61 to 305.44 million tons in 2020-21, consolidating Rice-Wheat as a dominant mono-cropping system in the country. After Effects of Rice-Wheat Cropping System Despite the initial success, the rice-wheat cropping system has led to several adverse effects: Expansion of Area: A vast area (84% in 2018) is dedicated to wh...

🌱 Critical Plant Stages and the Role of Amino Acids 🌱

🌱 Critical Plant Stages and the Role of Amino Acids 🌱   As we delve into the fascinating world of plant growth and development, understanding critical stages is vital for maximizing crop productivity. 🌾   🎯 Critical Plant Stages : Throughout a plant's lifecycle, specific stages play a crucial role in determining its overall health and yield. From germination to flowering and fruiting, each phase demands careful attention and appropriate interventions. By identifying these critical stages, farmers and growers can implement targeted strategies for optimal results. 🌿 🌿 Germination: The starting point of a plant's journey, where the embryo awakens from its dormant state to begin sprouting roots and shoots. Providing the right nutrients and environmental conditions is vital for a strong start. 🌱 Vegetative Growth: During this stage, the plant focuses on leaf and stem development. Adequate nitrogen supply, often in the form of amino acids, supports vigorous vege...
